Dew Drops

I'm a huge fan of the dewy skin trend that swept through the beauty industry after it's presence on the runway in February. But.. when wearing the look yourself there's a fine line between a fresh, healthy sheen and just looking a bit sweaty..

So, the best technique I've found to get the look without going over the top is to use one -  or all of - the following..

Chanel Vitalumiere - The original dewy finish foundation. I love this product as it gives the perfect about of dew, but Chanel really need to bring out a larger range of colours, as the lightest shade is still too dark for my ghostly complexion!

YSL Flash Radiance Prefect Touch - A perfect primer to compliment any foundation or if your having a good skin day it can be worn alone for a glowing finish. The reflective pigments make the skin look healthy without bordering on oily. And as an added bonus the people at YSL have just launched the same product but with an SPF 30...

Benefit's High Beam - A cult favourite, Benefit's high beam is one of the best highlighters in the industry. The silvery pink liquid reflects light and can be used on high points to add a shiny glow to the complexion. Or for an all over dewy complexion mix a bit in with foundation and use all over.

Benefit's Ooh La Lift - Not quite as well known as high beam but I adore this product, it's subtle enough to wear with little or no makeup and gives a natural result. Again it's only to be used on the high points of the face to bring them out and show off the angles.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation - If, like me, you are too pale for the Chanel foundation Nars is a great alternative, it gives great, long-lasting coverage with a subtle dewy finish.

**Application Tip**
After applying foundation run a clean cosmetic sponge over the face, it will soak up any excess foundation giving a natural finish without ruining your coverage.
